Titans’ Batman

With the announcement that Game of Thrones alumni, Iain Glen has accepted the role of Bruce Wayne in season two of DC Universes’s Titans web show, the next big question is will we get to see the Scottish actor don the batsuit?

Of course, any speculation wouldn’t be speculation without a mock-up, so we’ve done our own take on Iain Glen as a Titans-inspired take on Batman. So here’s what we hope the Dark Knight will look like in the show.

Whilst Glen is likely to be seen in as Batman, it’s likely to be fleeting, with Warner Bros reluctant to allow a fully-fledged appearance by Batman on TV, although the same rule once applied to Superman, but he has since made appearances in CW’s Supergirl.

The only appearance of Batman in the show has been a Batman veiled in shadow, as seen in Dick Grayson’s nightmare scenario in the show’s finale. That worked very well in the show, and was still exciting enough that Batman was actually present in the Titans universe.

With an older actor being cast in the part, it’s refreshing to see a Batman at the tale-end of his career, and there’s not many more grizzled than Iain Glen who would suit the part.
