Joker Comes to Smash

Joker has made his long-awaited debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and before Batman fans start leaping for joy, we've got some bad news, this is Joker from Persona 5, the charismatic leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a vigilante group in the game.

With the addition of Joker and his stage, as well as 11 new tracks to the game, it kicks off the first of the planned DLC fighter packs coming to Smash. Masahiro Sakurai, creator of Smash Bros. is a longtime fan of Joker, having become a fan when he played Persona 5, and pushed for his inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster.

There’s more to come for the DLC packs, with more rolling into 2020.
